Terms and Conditions

School of Islamic Studies (SIS)

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before enrolling in any course provided by the School of Islamic Studies (“SIS”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By enrolling in our courses, you (“student”, “you”, or “your”) agree to be bound by these Terms.


1. General Information

The School of Islamic Studies (SIS) is an online learning platform . We provide religious and language-based educational services through live online classes, conducted primarily via Zoom. Our courses include but are not limited to:

  • Basic Arabic

  • Tajweed

  • Languages

  • Islamic Studies

  • Seerah (Biography of the Prophet ﷺ)

Study materials are provided digitally as part of the course.


2. Eligibility

By enrolling in any SIS course, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years old or have parental consent if under 18.

  • You have access to a stable internet connection and a Zoom-compatible device.

  • You will use the materials and sessions solely for personal educational purposes and not for commercial reproduction or redistribution.


3. Enrolment and Access

  • Course access is granted upon full payment.

  • Classes are conducted live via Zoom. It is the student’s responsibility to attend scheduled sessions.

  • SIS reserves the right to modify the course schedule, instructors, or content where necessary.


4. Fees and Payment

  • Course fees must be paid in full before the course begins unless otherwise agreed.

  • All fees are listed in GBP (£) and are subject to change with prior notice.

  • Discounts or promotions are at SIS’s discretion and are time-limited.


5. Refund Policy

  • No refunds will be issued once a student has started the course, regardless of attendance or completion status.

  • Refund requests prior to course commencement may be considered on a case-by-case basis.


6. Code of Conduct

Students are expected to:

  • Respect instructors and fellow participants.

  • Maintain Islamic etiquette in all communication.

  • Not share Zoom links or course materials with non-registered individuals.

  • Not record or distribute class sessions or content without prior written permission.

SIS reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to the course without refund if a student breaches this code of conduct.


7. Intellectual Property

All course content, including written materials, videos, and audio recordings, are the intellectual property of SIS or its instructors and are protected by copyright laws. Students may not:

  • Reproduce, distribute, or transmit any course content for commercial or non-personal use.

  • Use the SIS name or logo without prior written consent.


8. Limitation of Liability

SIS will not be liable for:

  • Any technical issues or failures of Zoom or internet connectivity.

  • Missed sessions due to student unavailability.

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages from participation in the course.


9. Amendments

We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updates will be posted on our website. Continued use of our services after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.


10. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
